Actually I was at the Sretinski.

I would certainly be happy to talk this subject further in person – relations with the non-Orthodox is one of my responsibilities in the ROC here, so I have a certain experience. Providing I can get a visa, I shall be in Russia from 15 to 30 October (St Petersburg – then hopefully 3 or 4 days in a monastery – then Moscow). Eventually we could meet then. I will incidentally be talking on the subject of attitudes to western Christianity at the Theological Academy in St PB and at the State University of St PB.

I know the language problem too well. It is not helped by the fact that England and the USA are not the obvious places to send Russian Orthodox theology students!
